Asparagus is native to India and grows in tropical and subtropical regions. It thrives in shaded areas, rocky, gravelly sandy soil and found at low altitudes upto 1200 meters. Shatavari is cultivated in welldrained, sandy loam soil. Seeds are sown in nurseries, then transplanted after 2-3 months. It requires moderate rainfall, organic manure, and regular irrigation for optimal growth. Shatavari is used to treat hormonal imbalances, boost fertility, relieve menopausal symptoms, support lactation, and treat ulcers, indigestion, and acid reflux. It's also known to boost immunity and reduce stress and anxiety.
